H1N1

Columbia has taken steps to ensure that appropriate measures are being taken regarding H1N1. Our preparedness plan (developed in 2006) is in effect and we have begun communication with students, staff and faculty. Parents and families are encouraged to view the preparedness website for frequent updates, an active archive and connection to other useful links.

Spring is in the air!

While temperatures do not appear to be very Spring like -the sun is shining but there is definitely a nip in the air!- the campus is already deep in the throes of preparing for graduation.

For some of you this may be your first college graduation while for others this may be a return to a happy family occasion. In all cases, graduation is a memorable time for all families as we gather as a community to celebrate your student's accomplishment and the consistent support your family has offered over the years.

This year SEAS Class Day will occur on May 18 and Columbia College Class Day will occur on May 19. University Commencement will occur on May 20. The Division of Student Affairs has created a website: http://www.studentaffairs.columbia.edu/gradzone/ with information on graduation and answers to many frequently asked questions.

If you have any additional questions, please don't hesitate to contact us as gradzone@columbia.edu.
